you make today better.
today marks the start of world suicide prevention week.
each year To Write Love on Her Arms launches a new campaign for World Suicide Prevention Day. for those of you who may not know, TWLOHA is a non-profit committed to spreading hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, suicide, addiction, and self-injury.
the theme of this year’s campaign is “You Make Today Better.” mental health awareness and suicide prevention is something that is really important, because suicide is 100% preventable.
if i’m being completely honest with you, i don’t know all the answers.
i don’t know why some people struggle, and others don’t.
i don’t know why life gets hard, or why people can be cruel.
i don’t know what the right thing to say is a lot of the time.
what i do know for sure is this:
you matter.
you make today better.
i’m so grateful that you’re here.
and not just in a superficial, “here looking at my blog” kind of way, but here.
you’re resilient, and no one knows your journey quite like you, but you should be proud of how far you have come.
and if no one else tells you this today..
thank you. thank you for being you. i’m grateful for you. and i hope you have a good day.
